The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Monbukagakusho/MEXT) of the Government of Japan offers scholarships to foreign students who wish to study at Japanese universities and schools. Only Bangladeshi citizens can apply for these programs. As per Embassy recommendation, all applications should be submitted to the Ministry of Education

Research Students
Application for the MEXT 2022 Research Students Scholarship (Embassy recommendation) is already CLOSED.
Duration: Approx. 2 years or more depending on the program (please refer to the Application Guidelines for more details)
Outline of Eligibility: Degree: Bachelor's degree or higher / Age: born on or after April 2, 1987 (for the 2022 recruitment) / Study Area: the same field that the applicant has studied, or a related field / Citizenship: Bangladeshi
Departure Date: April or October 2022
Placement at University: Designated by MEXT, based on your admission or a letter of provisional acceptance you obtain from Japanese universities.

Undergraduate Students
Application for the MEXT 2022 Undergraduate Students Scholarship is already CLOSED.
Duration: Approx. 4-6 years depending on the program (please refer to the Application Guidelines for more details)

Application for the MEXT 2022 Specialized Training College Students Scholarship is already CLOSED.

Outline of Eligibility: Education: Those who are enrolled in a postsecondary course at a specialized training college, or who are receiving preparatory education in Japanese language and other subjects prior to placement at the specialized training college. / Age: 17-25 / Citizenship: Bangladeshi
